November, Creative Network Meet-up

Wednesday 26th November : 6 – 7.30pm
At : The Village Storytelling Centre, 69 Langton Halls, Pollok, G53 5DD

This month we are really excited to be joined by Scottish Writer Alan Gillespie. Alan will share a reading of his recently published work and offer a short creative writing activity for folk at the meet up.

Alan Gillespie is a writer and teacher from Fife, Scotland. He has studied at the Universities of Stirling, Glasgow and Strathclyde. His articles and stories have appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Herald, Northwords Now and New Writing Scotland, and elsewhere. His debut novel, The Mash House, was published by Unbound in 2021, and shortlisted by the Crime Writers’ Association for best debut. His short story The Arcade is studied on the Danish curriculum. He lives in Cowglen (where the old Savings Bank used to be).

This is part of ‘Growing Pollok’s Creative Network’. Monthly, Creatively-led Meet ups for anyone working in or interested in the arts, with a connection to Greater Pollok.

All welcome; professionals, hobbyists, self taught creatives, students + anyone with a love for creativity – in any art form! We hope these will be enjoyable, useful moments to meet others, share ideas and skills.
