The People of the Sea

This show was a sell-out the 2025 Scottish International Storytelling Festival and is co- created and performed by popular storytellers, Ruth Kirkpatrick (Scotland) and Colin Urwin (N. Ireland). It is inspired by David Thompson’s 1954 book of the same name, in which he collected a remarkable treasury of seal and selkie stories from Ireland and Scotland. The performance blends the finest storytelling and song, good natured banter and a splash of salty humour.
