“In all the many cycles of the moon and passing of the seasons that I have witnessed, only the occasional human has passed through here, but these humans seem as at home as any other woodland creature. It looks like they may be here to stay…”
The Village Young Storytellers invite you to take a look, back at the inspiring and courageous Pollok Free State movement which took place in the early 1990s, whilst sharing their hopes, fears and future dreams for local greenspaces and woodlands where they currently learn about and connect with nature alongside members of the local community.
The Storytellers, aged 12-17, meet weekly in Pollok to generate, shape and share stories, supported by industry professionals. They look forward to performing this bold new storytelling piece which is a true celebration of Pollok’s resilient history, creative present and vibrant future.
