Having a child taken into care can be an extremely traumatic experience. It has a profound impact on the child, birth parents and their families. In 2025 the Village Storytelling Centre and Unlabelled Films were commissioned by Corra Foundation to work with Birth Parents groups across Scotland to listen, reflect and help share these stories which are so rarely heard.

Join storyteller Lauren Bianchi, Corra’s Rowan Anderson as they present and discuss three important films developed with Birth Parents and ask for compassion and change.

Content Warning:

The films contain reference to mental health, violence, drug and alcohol use, sexual assault and abuse. If you are impacted by any of these issues and wish to speak to someone, you may wish to contact Samaritans online or call 116 123.
