Into the Woods

Screening

Wednesday 3 June 2026, 4:00pm

The Boardwalk
105 Brunswick St, Glasgow G1 1TF

Pop into the Black Studio at any time between 4pm and 6pm today to catch these wonderful short films about our work in local wild woodlands, Damshot Woods.

Protect these Places is a short film developed by pupils from St Paul’s RC High School exploring the fragility of the woodlands and connecting with the locally rooted history of the Pollok Free State, the pupils reflect on their role in protecting these woodlands from threats such as development and climate change. Also showing is Brìde and the Cailleach: Rooting a Myth.  This reimagining of the much-loved tale of the timeless turning of the seasons is told through the voices and imagination of our young Story Makers. Watch as winter loosens her grip on the land, spring begins to stir, and story and land become one. Finally, you can grab a sneak peek of The Day the Trees Fell Silent, a story of activism, climate change and community, developed and performed by our Young Storytellers. You can also see this LIVE and in full later in the week.
