Spanish storyteller Inés Álvarez Villa and flamenco guitarist Danielo Olivera bring Cervantes’ timeless masterpiece back to life in this funny yet poignant storytelling experience directed by Jelena Bašić. Originally commissioned for the Scottish International Storytelling Festival 2023, the show has since delighted audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe, Capital Theatres Edinburgh, and WayWord Literary Festival in Aberdeen.
Inés Álvarez Villa’s adaptation reveals a vivid world where humour uncovers human truths. Blending rich oral storytelling with the bright tones of Danielo’s flamenco guitar, this show will transport you to the heart of Spanish culture.
